@cussy182 no he got a cigar burned LMFAO
is Jeff back to fighting?
I hope so. LOVE this guy…as an anarchist and as a fighter.
I tried these last night and I only used 50 pounders and man I was gassed after 3 sets”"
has he got a bullet hole in his head?
reason why u as a fighter tend to have more reps than a powerlifter is endurence ofc.
not exactly:p mostly u see powerlifters focusing on 1-3reps, fighters is usually around 5-6 and bodybuilders is more like 9-14+. it all depends on how u body react to the weight lifting. But in the end u gain mass by damaging ure muscles fibers as much as possible, which is usually done best by a pretty higher numbers of reps.
wrong man heavy weight low reps = mass(hypertrophy)
jeff monson is a fucking animal
Where can I watch the whole thing?
Hopefully, i got a bad left shoudler.. if it keeps bohering me, i’m just going to lan up and stay at 165 i’m 5 foot 9 so it not so bad, but i wanna look lie monson lol
Keep traning
dont give upp……me myself…..i weighed 120 pounds fore 3 years ago…then i got upp too 165 pounds and now i have dropped down too 145 pounds beacuse there is where i feel comfortable
soo if i can goo upp you can
its just traning and nutrition
For some Odd reason.. Training with more reps like that 6-8 rep scheme, doesn’t do it for me, niether does the 8-12… So far what seems to work is doing 3 full body work outs a week, one day heavy, one day light, and the other day medium weight. I could easily cut weight and look ripped but i’d only weigh about 165 pounds.. I wanna be about 190 pounds of lean muscle. I also do these explosive workouts like monson. It kinda of helps with my BJJ not so much on the ground but for the takedowns.
i understand what u mean now, you wanna cut weight?
but the thing with this is he takes much weight too make strenght and explosivness…the thing you have too do too gain mass is = do more reps
that will give you volume
but i think you already knew that maybe?
jeff has my same running shoes
You havent lifted weights much if you think that was 375.
its 37.5 lbs
WAIT, WAIT, WAIT…at 28 seconds, is that 375lbs on a dumbell? Is that right?-Becuase 300 on a single arm is insane.
I don’t understand what ur saying man.. Jeff says, this workout won’t put on any mass, and just work strength.. I’m a bit over weight right now.. I want to put on MUSCLE MASS and gain strength, because the more muscle i gain, the easier it will be for me to cut down my body fat to about 8 percent. Getting stronger is great, but i want it all man, be strong, grapple with endurance, and to look strong. i’ll have to incorporate this workout with another regimen.
just build strenght??? thats the best kind of muscles?
i hope so, i’m getting stronger but i dont’ notice much of a size difference, i’m basically able to do more reps and lift heavier weight.
they both go hand in hand, with strength comes natural size. just make sure you keep your protwin intake high on your off days and you’ll be fine
These workouts can’t build any muscles? They jus build strength? i want to gain some muscle mass and strength
I do BJj and Boxing as well. I know what u mean. Its really tough… to do it naturally.. Plus some people have better genetics than others, my friends trains BJJ and oxing 5 days aweek and weight lifts as well. he’s ukrainian. he looks like ivan drago from rocky 4 lol. I have the same problem as u. I don’t take any supplements or steroids,, ALthough i know for a fact they would allow to me recover faster.
protein bars help. theres also other supplements that are ment to speed up recovery time. If that doesnt work i would reccomend working out a little lighter so your not so sore and just building up slowly until your body can handle both workouts
