its great watching your vids….we’re about the same amount along, but going at this pregnancy from WAY different angels! Im 100% organic all natural, not going to have any scans, ultrasounds, or doctoring at all. I will have a doula at my birth, but Im doing a home water birth and delivering my own baby… you are so cute tho, you really cover ALL your bases. Thanks for making these videos! :) blessings

If you want a quick delivery get some red raspberry leaf tea. My wife drank 2 cups a day in her last month and her delivery took 20mins. Our baby weighed 7.8.

Oh Carla one more thing, its hard not to go but clothes I KNOW..but the one thing I have been buying because I know we wll be using a lot of them are wipes and diapers!! Also I have lost 3 lbs since we found out I was pregnant and did the same thing with the last one. Then gained 17 lbs. Just dont think you have to eat more just because you are pregnant, a lot of women do and gain a lot of weight! Just eat normal!! Happy Pregnancy!!!!

  • chassidy143 says:

Congratulations and Good luck with everything!!! I have a 6 year old little girl and recently found out that I am pregnant again. We are super excited! I will be 8 weeks on the 5th of Feb and that is actually my first Doctor’s appointment. To answer your question about the doctors appointment, I will see my midwife/doctor on Friday she is who actually delivered my daughter last time in the shower at the hospital!!! It was a wonderful birthing experience and I hope this one is that easy!!!

Good luck with the weight gain! I was going to watch it with my first but ended up gaining 45 lbs With this next one i’ll try again watching the weight so we’ll see. About the doctors apt we didn’t see the General doctor because they sent me to the OB. I saw them every month but now with Kaiser it’s a little different I’m not even going to see them till my second trimester. btw don’t go crazy with buying things You don’t use half of it and don’t really know what you need till you have the baby.

    Hey Carla,
To be completely honest i have brought SOOO much baby stuff and we’ve only been trying for a yr, and like you it gives me hope.

But now we’re looking at building our first home and im not going to like having to pack it all lol..

    You look like your glowing.

Hey girl! I’m due September 18th! On my birthday!! Yay for September babies! Congrats!

  • ginaginadr says:

You will do just fine with the weight, becuase you WANT to do well. I gained 12 pounds throughout the 1st and 2nd trimester and then 6 more so far this 3rd trimester (im now 33 weeks). So i should be on track for about 25 total maybe a few more. But as long as you just eat smaller/frequent/healthy meals youll do fine. I REALLY recommend though eating an apple before like lunch or a meal daily (or some kind of fruit) It helps with weight control and constipation.

YAY for 8 weeks!!! It’s great that you are feeling better!!!

  • cgrimesphoto says:

So happy you’re feeling so good this week! I know what you mean about what weight gain is right for you – when I got pregnant I had been really sick and depressed due to a miscarriage a few months prior, and I had gotten down to 124. I’m 5’7″. Doc was adamant that I MUST gain weight. I gained 60 pounds by delivery day, and almost immediately lost 20 of it (within a couple of weeks) due to it being water. Now I’m stuck at 160. LOL

I only saw my OB, but he was a general pract. prior to OB. =)

  • suezq4369 says:

Glad to see you’re feeling better :) YAY for 8 weeks!!!!!

  • xxxyogaloverxxx says:

Congrats on wk8, i gained like 6lbs in my frist trimester, i was alwasy hungry . continue to feel weell….

  • SlickCheetah says:

We turn weeks on the same day, that’s so cool! I’m also having a difficult time figuring out if I’m hungry or not.

I didn’t go to my regular Doctor though. I scheduled an appointment with a Midwife (this Wednesday!), mainly because my my Primary (OB) was dropped from my insurance and we’d moved anyway. Yes, not looking forward to the ‘exam’ but I keep saying that it’s for the health of the baby. Great video!

  • ashikashi786 says:

wondering if any of your coworkers have been watching your youtube videos? Just a thought.

  • Aliwisha1 says:

I had the nuchal transluceny too just so I could see the baby again :) There is also a blood test that goes along with it. I wouldn’t purchase a lot till after your baby shower because I made this mistake and I had a lot of stuff that I didn’t need. If you have a chance come check out my vids about things I didn’t need and product reviews and the such :)

  • akgirl26 says:

I guess everyone is different but I saw my doctor every week ( first month or so three times a week for progesterone shots since my levels had dropped and I was allergic to suppositories), and then at 16 weeks we dropped to every 4 weeks. I just felt really comfortable with the schedule because of my unbalanced hormone levels and pcos symptoms. They caught my hypothyroidism, low progesterone and lumps on my thyroid so i was thankful they saw me a lot.

  • bellabeeee says:

Our first appointment and first time ever being seen will be at 8 weeks and 1 day. And that wait has been killing me no idea how you’ll wait to March! Maybe they’ll have a cancellation? Or is it just standard that they see you at 16wks?

  • 08MarineWife says:

congrats on 8 weeks, ya when I was prego with my son I lost weight in the beginning too. I lost 10lbs in my first trimester and only gained 14lbs my whole pregnancy. Only 4 more weeks till your second trimester you will feel great, its the best time, you can just enjoy being prego with no morning sickness..

  • nannerskins says:

I didn’t see my GP before my first midwife appoint which was at 10 weeks &2days, but I did go see him when I had the fainting spells and he checked my iron, sugars, b levels to make sure they were okay but other then that I didnt have a prenatal appointment with him before my midwife appointment. I’ll look for your cloth diaper vids, its nice to see other opinions on them. You can check on mine if you havent already, might give you some ideas. :)

  • Parkerfur says:

Yeah for week 8… hopefully you will continually feel better into that second trimester. I found out that sometimes, the pains where hunger pains… it’s hard though

  • DawnMarie81 says:

Yeah for 8 weeks! I also want to do cloth diapers, but havent really looked into them much yet, so I am excited to know you are going to do a video about them soon :) I also was one that constantly bought cute little baby things before i was pg that were on sale. Then once we were pg, I had not bought anything at all, so the other day I was determined to find something cute that was gender neutral (not as easy as I thought it would be) but found a couple outfits for only $3 each :)

  • Ajpeartree says:

I was the same way with food, I lost weight because I would get nauseas when I would eat and feel full so quickly. It’s better than gaining a bunch of weight right off the bat I suppose! :) Only 4 more weeks until 2nd tri!!!

  • adrie722 says:

try sucking on jolly ranchers hard candy for the nausea…thank goodness for google and all the mommy message boards. i think i lived on them through both of my pregnancies!!! hope this helps! : )
